I find that often most smoothies don’t tide me over until my 10 am snack and I need a little sumpthin’ to give it some substance. This smoothie has pasteurized egg white and oatmeal added to fill you up.
If I can get 1 gram of protein per 10 calories, I consider that food a good source of protein (provided the rest of the macronutrients are balanced). This smoothie fits the bill.
So, without further adieu, here’s a filling protein rich smoothie option.
Ingredients
Handful of ice cubes
1 tablespoon almond butter
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 serving of IDLife vanilla protein powder
2 egg whites (pasteurized only – do not use unpasteurized raw eggs)
1/4 cup Quaker old-fashioned oats
Directions
Add all ingredients to VitaMix or other high powered blender and blend until smooth
