Oatmeal Almond Vanilla Smoothie

I find that often most smoothies don’t tide me over until my 10 am snack and I need a little sumpthin’ to give it some substance.  This smoothie has pasteurized egg white and oatmeal added to fill you up.

If I can get 1 gram of protein per 10 calories, I consider that food a good source of protein (provided the rest of the macronutrients are balanced).  This smoothie fits the bill.

So, without further adieu, here’s a filling protein rich smoothie option.

Ingredients

Handful of ice cubes

1 tablespoon almond butter

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

1 serving of IDLife vanilla protein powder

2 egg whites (pasteurized only – do not use unpasteurized raw eggs)

1/4 cup Quaker old-fashioned oats

Directions

Add all ingredients to VitaMix or other high powered blender and blend until smooth
